Our History

C.W. SCHULTZ was established in 1921 by Carl W. Schultz. It was located at 216 Parrish Street, Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania in a shed behind a chicken coop. Over 90 year later, we are at the same location. In 1927, a large two car garage became the center of the business.  In 1946, Carl’s son Henry W. Schultz became involved in the business full time after graduating from Drexel University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. There were three employees at the time.

In 1956, Carl W. Schultz turned the ownership of the business over to his son Henry W. Schultz.  Five months before the Agnes flood in June, 1972, Carl passed away.  C.W. Schultz incorporated in 1976.

In May of 2006, Henry passed away and his wife B.J. Schultz took over as President of the Company.

In 2011, C. W. Schultz & Son celebrated its 90 Year Anniversary.  B.J. Schultz along with daughter Annette Schultz, Vice President, are carrying on the family business into the twenty first century.  BJ and Annette along with Leonard Martin, who has been with the company for sixty year, are continuing to maintain the highest level of service to our local communities.
